Oneway Windproof Puff Jacket: Kenya's Answer to Cold-Season Dressing

Nairobi mornings have a bite to them that catches people off guard. One minute it's a normal commute, the next you're pulling your jacket tighter against a wind that seems to come from nowhere. If you've been layering shirt over shirt just to get through cold season, the Oneway Windproof Puff Jacket was made for exactly this problem — and it was made right here in Kenya.

Why we made a windproof puffer vest

Kenya's cold season isn't really about low temperatures. It's about wind. Ordinary jackets that look warm on the rack often let that wind straight through, leaving you cold within minutes of stepping outside. We designed the Oneway Puff Jacket with a windproof outer shell and evenly quilted insulation, so the wind stays on the outside and the warmth stays with you.

A vest cut that actually fits your life

We went with a sleeveless puffer vest instead of a full jacket on purpose. It layers over a shirt for the office, over a hoodie for the weekend, and under a bomber on the coldest days — without boxing you in or restricting your arms. The horizontal quilted channels keep the fill spread evenly across your chest and back, so there are no cold patches and no lumpy bunching.

You'll find it in two colourways:

  • Beige — clean and versatile, easy to dress up or down
  • Espresso brown — deeper and more rugged, pairs well with darker layers

Both come with a high structured collar, a smooth zip that pulls all the way to the chin, and deep side pockets angled for easy hand access.

The small detail that means the most

If you look closely at the side pocket seam, you'll spot a small woven tab in green, white, red, and black — the colours of the Kenyan flag. It's stitched in quietly, not shouted about, because that's how we think "Made in Kenya" should be represented: through the quality of the work, not just the label.

That tab is a promise. It means the jacket was designed, cut, and sewn locally, with local hands checking every seam. Choosing local manufacturing also means shorter supply chains, better quality control, and jobs that stay in our own community.

How to wear it

  1. Smart-casual office look — layered over a crisp button-down shirt.
  2. Weekend errands — thrown over a hoodie or t-shirt.
  3. Peak cold mornings — worn under a coat or bomber jacket for extra insulation.
